PRIVACY POLICY FOR KANNADA BABY NAMES – HESARU Last Updated: September 25, 2026 This Privacy Policy explains how the Android application “Kannada Baby Names – Hesaru” (“the App”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) handles information when you use the App. By using the App, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy. 1. ABOUT THE APP Kannada Baby Names – Hesaru helps users browse and search Kannada and Hindu baby names, meanings, letter-based name lists, themed name collections, and save selected names as favorites. The App does not require users to create an account or sign in. 2. INFORMATION WE DIRECTLY ASK USERS TO PROVIDE We do not ask users to directly provide personal information such as: • Name • Email address • Phone number • Postal address • Password • Payment information The App does not include a user account or registration system. However, third-party services integrated into the App, including Google AdMob, Google Analytics for Firebase, Firebase Cloud Messaging, Firebase Installations, and related Google services, may automatically process certain device, app, usage, advertising, or installation information as described below. 3. FAVORITE NAMES The App allows users to mark baby names as favorites. Favorite-name selections are stored locally on the user’s device using Android local storage/SharedPreferences. We do not upload favorite-name selections to our own server. Favorite data may be removed when the user: • Removes a name from Favorites • Clears the App’s data • Uninstalls the App 4. INTERNET CONNECTION The App requires an active internet connection for features such as advertising, analytics, Firebase Cloud Messaging, and related online services. The App may check the device’s network connection status to determine whether internet access is available. We do not collect or store Wi-Fi passwords, mobile-network passwords, or other network credentials. 5. ADVERTISING – GOOGLE ADMOB The App uses Google AdMob to display advertisements, including formats such as native ads and interstitial ads. Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect or process certain information for advertising, measurement, fraud prevention, security, and service operation purposes. Depending on the device, region, consent choices, Google settings, and SDK configuration, this may include: • IP address • Advertising or device identifiers • App interactions and ad interactions • Diagnostic and performance information • General device and network information • Approximate/general location derived from information such as IP address We do not directly control the information collected or processed by Google through the Google Mobile Ads SDK. CONSENT AND PRIVACY CHOICES Where required by applicable privacy laws or Google advertising requirements, the App uses or may use Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) to display consent or privacy-choice messages. Depending on the user’s location and applicable requirements, users may be able to: • Consent to certain advertising purposes • Decline certain advertising purposes • Manage privacy options • Change or withdraw previous advertising consent choices When required, a “Privacy Choices” or similar option may be shown inside the App. Google UMP manages these advertising consent messages and privacy choices according to Google’s policies and applicable requirements. 7. FIREBASE ANALYTICS The App uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the App is used and to improve app features, content, reliability, and user experience. Google Analytics for Firebase may automatically collect or process information such as: • App usage and interaction events • App opens and session information • Device and app information • Operating system and app version information • Approximate geographic information or locale-related information, depending on Google’s processing and configuration • Installation, app-instance, advertising, or similar identifiers where applicable • Automatically collected Analytics events and user properties Google Analytics may also log events that describe actions occurring in the App. For example, Analytics can record standard events automatically, and the App may later use custom events to understand which features, letters, categories, or functions are being used. We do not use Firebase Analytics to collect the user’s name, email address, phone number, or other account information because the App does not have a user account or sign-in system. Analytics data is processed by Google in accordance with Google’s and Firebase’s privacy terms and settings. FIREBASE CLOUD MESSAGING AND PUSH NOTIFICATIONS The App uses Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to send push notifications, such as baby-name updates, app updates, new content, or other useful App-related messages. To provide push notifications, Firebase may automatically process information such as: • App version • Firebase installation information • Firebase Installation ID or similar app-installation identifier • FCM registration information/token used to route notifications to a particular app installation • Device and app metadata used by Firebase services • Notification delivery and interaction information where supported by Firebase/Analytics configuration An FCM registration token identifies an App installation for message delivery. It is not intended to directly identify the user by name. We do not currently maintain our own user-account database or our own server database containing users’ FCM registration tokens. Firebase/Google services handle the registration and delivery infrastructure used by the App. Users can allow or deny notification permission on supported Android versions. Notification permission can also be changed later through Android system settings. If notification permission is denied, some or all push notifications may not be displayed. FIREBASE INSTALLATIONS Firebase services used by the App may rely on Firebase Installations. Firebase Installations can generate and process a Firebase Installation ID (FID), which is a per-installation identifier used to identify a particular installation of the App for Firebase services. Google states that a Firebase Installation ID identifies an app installation and does not by itself uniquely identify a user or physical device. Firebase Installations may also process Firebase user-agent information, including certain device, app, operating-system, SDK-version, and installation-source information needed to provide and maintain Firebase services. 10. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES The App currently uses or may use the following third-party Google services: • Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads SDK • Google User Messaging Platform (UMP), where applicable • Google Analytics for Firebase • Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) • Firebase Installations • Google Play services required for normal Android app distribution and operation These third-party services may collect and process information according to their own privacy policies, terms, settings, and legal obligations. BABY-NAME CONTENT AND IMAGES The App contains baby-name information, meanings, categories, and images for informational and browsing purposes. The App does not use baby-name searches or locally saved favorites to identify a specific individual. 12. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY Kannada Baby Names – Hesaru is intended as a baby-name reference tool for parents, families, and other users looking for baby-name ideas. The App is not specifically designed as a service for children to provide personal information. We do not knowingly ask children to directly provide personal information such as a name, email address, phone number, or account credentials. If you believe that personal information from a child has been provided to us inappropriately, please contact us using the email address below. 13. DATA SHARING We do not sell personal information to advertisers or other third parties. Information may be processed by third-party service providers such as Google when required to provide: • Advertising • Consent and privacy management • Analytics and measurement • Push-notification delivery • Fraud prevention and security • Service operation and maintenance Any data handled by Google or Firebase is subject to Google’s own policies, settings, contractual terms, and legal obligations. 14. DATA SECURITY We take reasonable steps to keep the App’s locally stored information and configuration secure. No electronic transmission, mobile application, or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Google states that Firebase data covered by its Android SDK data-disclosure documentation is encrypted in transit using HTTPS. Information processed by Google services is also subject to Google’s security practices. 15. DATA RETENTION We do not maintain our own user-account database containing personal profiles. Favorite-name data remains locally on the device until the user removes it, clears the App’s data, or uninstalls the App. Advertising, Analytics, Firebase installation, and notification-related information handled by Google is retained according to Google/Firebase policies, settings, service configuration, and applicable legal requirements. Firebase installation identifiers or messaging registration information may change or be regenerated, for example when an app is reinstalled, app data is cleared, or Firebase updates registration information. 16. USER CHOICES Users may be able to manage information and privacy choices through: • Privacy Choices inside the App, where required • Android notification settings • Android device privacy and advertising settings • Google account advertising settings • Google/Firebase consent or privacy controls where applicable • Removing names from Favorites • Clearing the App’s storage/data • Uninstalling the App Turning off notification permission may prevent push notifications from appearing. 17. LINKS TO THIRD-PARTY CONTENT Advertisements or other external content shown in the App may link to third-party websites, apps, or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, content, or security of third-party services. Users should review the privacy policy of any external service they choose to access. 18.
