• Community-submitted temple timing updates
• Incorrect-information reporting
Some information may come from publicly available sources, while some live information is contributed by App users.
Temple Timings Updates is not an official application of any temple, temple trust, government department, or religious authority unless explicitly stated.
2. INFORMATION WE PROCESS
The App is designed to collect only information reasonably necessary to provide its features.
Depending on the features you use, the App may process the following information.
A. LOCATION INFORMATION
The App may request access to your device location.
Location is used for:
• Finding temples near your current location
• Calculating approximate distance to nearby temples
• Verifying that you are physically near a temple before allowing certain live community reports
For community reports, precise location may be required to verify that the user is within the permitted distance from the temple.
The App does not intentionally store your exact latitude and longitude in community report documents.
Instead, after location verification, the App may store an indication that the report was location-verified.
Your device location may also be processed by Android, Google Play Services, or other system services used to obtain location information.
B. FIREBASE ANONYMOUS USER IDENTIFIER
Temple Timings Updates uses Firebase Anonymous Authentication.
Firebase may assign your installation or session a unique anonymous user identifier.
This identifier is used to:
• Associate community reports with a unique user
• Reduce duplicate reporting
• Support report integrity
• Associate timing-history submissions with the submitting user
• Associate incorrect-information feedback with the submitting user
The App does not require you to provide a name, email address, phone number, or password to use anonymous reporting features.
C. COMMUNITY REPORTS
If you submit a live temple report, the App may store information such as:
• Temple identifier
• Anonymous user identifier
• Open or closed status
• Crowd level
• Queue status
• Approximate waiting time
• Pooja-started status
• Temporary darshan-stop status
• Changed opening time
• Changed closing time
• Whether location verification succeeded
• Date and time of the report
Live community reports may be combined with reports from other visitors to display a consensus.
Some live reports automatically become less relevant or expire after a limited period because temple conditions can change quickly.
D. TIMING HISTORY
When users report changes to temple opening or closing times, the App may keep limited historical information to identify repeated timing patterns.
This may include:
• Anonymous user identifier
• Temple identifier
• Reported opening or closing time
• Day of the week
• Date
• Verification status
• Submission timestamp
Repeated reports may be used to suggest that a regular temple schedule should be reviewed.
Community reports do not automatically become official temple timings.
E. INCORRECT INFORMATION FEEDBACK
Users may report inaccurate temple information.
When you submit this feedback, the App may store:
• Anonymous user identifier
• Temple identifier
• Temple name
• Reason for the report
• Feedback status
• Submission timestamp
This information is used to review and improve the accuracy of temple information.
Feedback submitted through this feature is not publicly displayed to other users.
3. HOW WE USE INFORMATION
Information processed by Temple Timings Updates may be used to:
• Provide nearby temple results
• Calculate distances
• Verify eligibility to submit location-based reports
• Display live temple conditions
• Combine reports from multiple visitors
• Detect repeated temple timing patterns
• Improve the accuracy of temple information

4. COMMUNITY-CONTRIBUTED INFORMATION
Live reports are provided by App users and may not always be accurate.
Users are asked to submit information based on what they personally observe.
Community reports may be:
• Combined with other reports
• Automatically expired
• Ignored when there is insufficient agreement
• Reviewed
• Corrected
• Removed when inaccurate, abusive, misleading, or inappropriate
Community information should not be treated as an official announcement from a temple unless the App specifically identifies it as official.
5. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
Temple Timings Updates uses services provided by Google and Firebase.
These may include:
• Firebase Authentication
• Cloud Firestore
• Google Play Services
• Android location services
These third-party providers may process technical information according to their own privacy policies and terms.

6. DATA SHARING
We do not sell users' personal information.
Information may be processed by service providers such as Google Firebase when necessary to operate the App.

7. LOCATION PERMISSION
Location permission is used only for App features that require location.
Nearby temple functionality may use your current location to calculate distance.
Precise location may be required when submitting a location-verified live temple report.
You may deny location permission through your Android device settings.
If location permission is denied, some features such as nearby temples or location-verified community reporting may not function correctly.
The App does not require background location access for its normal operation.
8. DATA RETENTION
Live temple reports may only be considered current for a limited period.
Some report data may remain in our database for longer where necessary to:
• Maintain report history
• Detect repeated timing patterns
• Prevent abuse
• Review inaccurate information
• Improve temple information
Data may be removed when it is no longer reasonably required for these purposes.
9. DATA DELETION
Temple Timings Updates uses anonymous Firebase identifiers rather than requiring a traditional user account.
If you would like to request deletion of community reports or other information associated with your anonymous App identifier, you may contact us using the contact information provided below.
Where technically possible and legally permitted, we will process valid deletion requests.
We may retain limited information where required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or other legitimate purposes.
10. SECURITY
We use reasonable technical measures to protect App information.
Firebase security rules are used to restrict access to certain information.
For example, incorrect-information feedback is not intended to be publicly readable by ordinary App users.
However, no internet-based service or electronic storage system can guarantee absolute security.
11. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
Temple Timings Updates does not intentionally request users to provide names, email addresses, phone numbers, or other direct personal details through its community-reporting features.
If we become aware that personal information from a child has been collected in a manner that should not have occurred, we will take reasonable steps to remove it.
12. TEMPLE INFORMATION DISCLAIMER
Temple timings, pooja schedules, crowd conditions, waiting times, opening status, closing status, and other information can change without notice.
Community reports may contain errors or become outdated.
Users should confirm important information directly with the relevant temple or official authority before making travel or religious arrangements.
Temple Timings Updates does not represent or claim affiliation with any temple, temple trust, religious institution, or government authority unless clearly stated.
13. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy when App features, technology, legal requirements, or data practices change.
When significant changes are made, the updated Privacy Policy will be published with a revised effective date.
Users are encouraged to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
